What Linktree Can Do For You

Hello friends,

Do you have too many social media accounts to keep track of? Does it annoy you if you can’t remember the long links or where you recorded them? Is storage an issue? Do you have business associates or customers who need your link? If you answered yes to any of these questions, I have a solution for you. It’s called Linktree.

Linktree is an application that stores all the information in one place. Best of all, the basic version is free. Yes, free. Don’t you love free stuff? I do. And no, I’m not getting paid to advertise it. Whenever I find something fantastic, I want to shout it from the rooftops. I will tell you what I wished I had known before promoting my book.

Everyone needed all my essential links. I’ve been a guest blogger for other authors. They have kindly spotlighted my novel on their websites. This meant they needed a way for readers to connect with me. And promoters needed my information to help me showcase my work. Also, I’m trying to round up the followers on my platforms and let them know where else we can connect. It’s a drag if I have to drop links everywhere. Occasionally, I make a mistake. What use is a link that doesn’t work?

Here’s something else worth mentioning. What if someone wants to buy my book and the link isn’t available? That customer doesn’t want to hunt for it online. They want convenient access.

Okay, I’m getting long-winded about the uses for this amazing tool. Let me tell you how it works. If you go to their website, Linktree you can signup for the free account. Once in there, you can create a biography, title your sections (categories), and start adding links. Some people will say it’s self-explanatory, but there are tips and tricks to making the most of it. I’m not very tech savvy, so I found a video.

I watched a YouTube Video Tutorial to learn how to do this. Honestly, I think this lady can probably explain the details better than I can. She’s a great teacher. While watching, I ran two windows on my computer. Whenever I needed to, I stopped her video and applied her advice to my tree in progress. I finished the project in 15 minutes.

What’s cool about it is once it’s created, you can post the link in your biography on every platform. Some of the social media sites don’t allow links in the reels. I can’t always post my universal buy link for my book. Instead, I tell people it is on my bio, inside my linktree. And it’s easy to remember my link. It’s https://linktr.ee./Ellenymueller The first part starts like any other web addresses, and the middle isn’t hard. And we all know our own names, hee, hee. You can set yours up the same way.

Some people are hooking up online stores to their trees. They sell t-shirts, mugs, and all kinds of merchandise. That feature may be part of the upgraded app. with a subscription. I don’t need that yet, so I’ll stick with the freebee for now.

As for my other news, I still have the rafflecopter on my event page of my website. If you haven’t entered the free contest, you should. I’m giving away a $25 Amazon gift card. Go here to the rafflecopter if you’re interested. I could probably add this to my linktree, too.

Lately, I’ve been investigating Kindle-Vella. It is part of Amazon’s Kindle platform. Writers post stories which are structured as episodes. I’ve written several episodes of a contemporary paranormal fantasy for adults. I’d like to post two episodes a week. I have about 60 written and edited. Readers will get to read the first three episodes free to see if they like it. I’ll send you more about this if I open an author account there. I’ll probably post a blog about it as soon as I read all the Amazon rules. Then I’ll break it down for you.

Well, this is article is longer than I intended. So far, I highly recommend Linktree. If you need a link organizer, you should give it a try. It was super simple to set up.

Thank you for stopping by, and for supporting my writing venture. If you haven’t checked out my young adult novel, Run Girl Run, take a look. My universal link is in my Linktree.
